Michele Bassett

Michele Bassett founded Bassett Executive Search Solutions, a retained search firm, in 2000. Ms. Bassett has an extensive history in recruiting Chief Executives with search experience across the consumer, entertainment, new media, technology, professional services and not-for-profit sectors. In addition, Ms. Bassett specializes in sales, marketing, corporate compliance, and general counsel functional roles. Most recently, she has conducted searches for clients such as Constellation Wines, Sony, Disney, Massive Inc., Mattel, Pitney Bowes, PG&E, FTI Consulting, First American Title, and Wolfgang Puck.

Ms. Bassett previously was a Principal with Battalia Winston International and cFour Partners, where she placed top level executives in Fortune 500 as well as emerging-growth companies in the high-tech, digital media, Internet, consumer and entertainment industries. Ms. Bassett specialized in consulting with Emerging Growth companies to develop hiring plans for management. Prior to that, Ms. Bassett was a Consultant, leading engagements for the technology and professional services practices of Ray & Berndtson, a top ten international executive search firm.

Ms. Bassett spent her early career in advertising account management with global advertising agencies based in Los Angeles. She managed client relationships with Jenny Craig, Hollywood Video, GTE, and Nestle, delivering advertising, branding, direct marketing and media strategies to US corporations. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Riverside and her MBA from the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. Ms. Bassett resides in the sea-side town of Manhattan Beach and enjoys her ocean view, wine tasting, golf, and beach volleyball.

Laura Bailey, Executive Recruiter

Laura Bailey MA, has been a recruiter for 18 years.  She has an extensive background placing senior marketing professionals and senior technology specialists for a variety of marketing firms, publishers, media companies and technology start-ups.  Prior to her Executive Recruitment role with Bassett Executive Search Solutions, Laura was a founding member and Account Executive driving sales and recruiting for the largest creative staffing firm in Chicago.  She is currently based in Southern California.

Laura is an enthusiastic and relationship driven recruiter skilled at finding talent for the most difficult to fill positions. Laura has excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build relationships, and makes quick, accurate candidate assessments - all skills that lead to a solid record of success on search assignments.

Laura’s extensive recruiting background is supplemented by both an MA and a License in Professional Counseling.  Her education brings an added depth to her understanding of various communication styles and added skill to her assessment and coaching techniques.
